2 tablespoons butter + 6 cups diced vegetables + 3 cloves minced garlic + 1/4 cup all-purpose flour + 3 cups liquid* + salt & pepper + 1/4 fresh herbs minced = dinner for 6
*milk, vegetable stock, chicken stock, mushroom stock, etc.
