My favorite belt. (from Anthropologie)
I’ve been baking a lot in preparation for visiting family this weekend. While I was pulling sheets of cookies in and out of our little oven I was day-dreaming about our future house. I envision a bright sunny kitchen that truly becomes the heart of our home. A place where everyone naturally gathers; where kids steal hot cookies off the cooling rack and run outside to play; where I can wear a different apron every season; and where we feed our growing family. Maybe that all sounds pretty idealistic, like it should be in a 1950s ladies magazine about keeping a good home. But that’s what I think about when I’m baking and with a little luck it should all be coming true very soon.
It's Finally Spring
Because today is the day I pull all the plastic off our windows!
“Should I get a cowboy hat?”
I wish The World’s Second Largest Fire Hydrant wasn’t so far from Austin.
I made a map of the most interesting ridiculously large roadside attractions in Texas in order to choose an entertaining destination for our (and maybe this guy's) mid-SXSW road trip. I think San Antonio is the best choice, having some of the most appealing attractions such as the Toilet Seat Museum, The World’s Largest Cowboy Boots, World’s Largest Wooden Nickel, and as a treat in a nearby town The World’s Largest Wheel Barrel!
And if we are feeling really adventurous we could travel to The Center of Texas. Amazing.
I can’t get to Texas fast enough!
